WEDDING DAY
TIMELINE
Once you know when everyone needs to be dressed for photos, we’ll create a beauty timeline. We’ll base it on the number of services and artists in your contract, and after Brooke and the Lead Artist draft it, we’ll send it to you for approval.

The timeline includes a set start and end time, but each service flows naturally rather than at specific appointment times. Sometimes, an artist or style may take a little more or less time, so each person should be ready 15 minutes before our start time or 30 minutes before their slot.

Onsite Beauty has final approval over the timeline, and service times are set to ensure everyone is ready on schedule. Keep in mind that getting ready at hotels or Airbnb’s is often best, as many venues may not allow early access.

HAIR & MAKEUP PREPARATION
Hair Preparation
Arrive with clean, dry hair (unless you’re getting a blowout) and aim for smooth, frizz-free strands. We recommend washing and drying the night before your wedding day—this helps your style hold better than freshly washed hair.
For smooth styling, apply a frizz-fighting product like AIIR Smoothing Cream while blow-drying. Avoid using hair oils to manage frizz, as they can damage hair when used with hot tools. Also, avoid using coconut oil or any other kitchen oils on your hair within a week of the wedding. We’ll have professional products on hand to perfect your look!

Makeup Preparation:
The Night Before Your Makeup Service: Wash, exfoliate, and moisturize your skin. If your skin is very dry, try a physical exfoliant and follow up with a rich moisturizer or hydrating sheet mask to boost hydration.

The Morning of Your Service: Wash and moisturize only. Well-prepped, smooth, and hydrated skin helps your makeup look flawless and last longer. Avoid using SPF with Zinc Oxide or Titanium Oxide, as these can cause flashback in photos, making you look washed out.
For Bridesmaids, Mothers, and Others: Please bring a lip color for touch-ups throughout the day, as lip color typically lasts about 2 hours.

GETTING READY SPACE
Please have the area where we'll be working ready when we arrive. Set up chairs by a cleared table or countertop, with all clutter removed. This helps us set up quickly and start on time.

The best space has plenty of natural light (not a bathroom), room to move, and is near—but not in—the main gathering area. This way, we can easily bring people over as we’re ready for them!

Dress Steaming Reminder:
We recommend steaming dresses the night prior if possible. If dresses need steaming on the wedding morning, assign someone to handle it in advance. If they’re also receiving services, ensure steaming is done before their appointment. No one should steam dresses after their hair or makeup, as it can cause frizzy hair and makeup breakdown.

Animals and Children in the Getting Ready Space:
Please ensure that any pets, such as cats or dogs, are kept out of the room where we’re working. We can’t have animals underfoot or risk them knocking over hot tools.

If there are children in the space, kindly remind them to stay clear of our work area to prevent accidents. While we love your furry friends and little ones, safety is our top priority to keep everyone burn-free!
